Funny story behind this film too. I watched 1/3 of this or so in high school during the day before Christmas break started. I always meant to rent it and finish it sometime, but it took me 11 years before I did. 

Good performances out of an all star who's who among Hollywood cast, but my God, is this film nothing but a huge collection of Hollywood clichés. Make that way overused and even abused clichés.

Doug Walker, if he hasn't already, could have a heyday with this film.

It was still fun though, even though it got on my nerves as it borrowed everything and created nothing of its own.

Other random thoughts.....

I'm not sure why Morgan Freeman gets all the "guy with the neat voice" jobs, when Keith David is still alive and well. I could listen to David talk all day.

I miss the shit out of Michael Clarke Duncan. Heard he could be difficult to deal with sometimes, but I enjoyed watching him on the screen.

Aerosmith was on Saturday Night Live when this movie came out and upon watching Steven Tyler act in a few skits, it's very clear to me that Liv didn't inherit her acting skills from her Dad.

William Fitchner would give the three year old me nightmares.
