HELLBOY: B+
I love being pleasantly surprised and I most certainly was here. Going into this film I was expecting a senseless action movie, full of nothing but special effects and what I would have thought were cool one liners back in seventh grade.
Instead, I was given a compelling and captivating story, with interesting and developed characters.
I feel that the film could have cut back a little on its subplots and focused more on a couple of issues, rather than a whole bunch. I think that by having multiple stories within the main story, it weakened them, because there wasn't enough time to develop them fully.
This a was fun film, I will definitely check out part two and if I like that, part three.
