PETE'S DRAGON 

PETE'S DRAGON - Going to have to give this one a 2 out of 5 rating or a C, C -.

I have to give the film a little grace here as the target demographic was much younger than I initially anticipated. The original PETE'S DRAGON from the 1970's was more age appropriate for 5-9 year olds. This felt more like it was geared toward 2-4 year olds. 

As a result it was very visual and I have to compliment the film on its special effects. Elliot looked phenomenal and his movements looked natural, at least in comparison to animals that actually do exist.

I would have liked to have seen more of him though. I would have liked to have seen more story development between him and Pete. 

This film felt much more like a children's music video than it did an actual movie. 

I'll most likely sit down to watch the 1977 version a few more times in my life and probably never give this film another thought. 

The 3 year old me would have most likely liked it though.
