RISKY BUSINESS

RISKY BUSINESS: C-

Been on my radar to watch for a long time and had I never gotten around to watching this, I'd have missed out on nothing.

It was fun watching Bronson Pinchot, Curtis Armstrong and Tom Cruise share the screen together. The acting performances out of those three along with Rebecca De Mornay were good. Matter of fact they were about the only thing that saved this film from getting a lower rating for me.

To me the script felt like a good premise. I mean the story was there. It could have been a great film, but both the story and the characters were underdeveloped. The ride was not smooth, nor was it transitional. Story jumped from A to D without B or C, not even in exposition.

The film felt like puzzle pieces being put together on the wrong puzzle. Like you can tell what the picture is supposed to be and you know had more time been taken, that the pieces would fit fine. Yet, you look at it, and the pieces are thrown together, jammed into places where they don't fit and the end result is a big mess.
